AccessHub

AccessHub controls internet access for a whole network at once, instead of setting up every phone, laptop and tablet separately. From one screen you decide what each person can reach and when, watch the live traffic, and just ask an AI assistant to make changes in plain language. It isn't only about blocking what's harmful, it's about helping people build self-control and take back their time and focus. I built it end to end, and still run it in production today.

CLIENT
French internet-filtering company
ROLE
Lead developer, end to end
SCOPE
Filtering, per-person access, quotas, monitoring
STACK
PHP · Vue.js · MySQL · AI integration
The live filter log an admin sees, every allow and deny listed by user and domain in real time
FIG. 01 · What the admin sees in real time: every request allowed or denied, by person and site. Access is set per person, so each one, a child included, reaches only what the admin allows.
01 · THE PROBLEM

Safe internet for a whole network, not one device at a time.

Keeping people safe online usually means setting up parental controls on every phone, tablet and computer, one by one. It's slow, and a determined user can still get around them. Blocking harmful sites is only half of it, too. The harder part is helping someone step back from the endless, compulsive scroll and hold to the limits they set for themselves. What a family, school or community really wants is simpler: the whole network safe at once, the right access for each person, and no easy way to switch it off in a weak moment. AccessHub is the one place they run all of that from, plain enough for a non-technical person to set who reaches what and when, without touching config.

Setting up controls on each device is slow, and easy to get around.
Blocking bad sites is only half of it. People also want help resisting the endless, time-wasting scroll.
One network is shared by people who each need different, age-appropriate access.
02 · WHAT I BUILT

The whole system, owned end to end.

In-app AI assistant
Ask it in plain language, create a user, move someone between groups, add a rule with a time limit, and it stages the change for the admin to approve before it goes live. It also answers "why was this blocked?" and "who can reach this site?" straight from the live setup.
Filtering engine
The rules that actually run on the network: content-filtering profiles, access per person and per device, and time limits that keep each person's use age-appropriate and healthy.
Live monitoring
Live traffic in the console: every allow and deny, by person and site, as it happens, so support can see what's going on without digging into the server.
Operations & evolution
Deployment, releases and new features, added continuously as the business grew.
A single access rule composing allowed domains, reusable groups and the user it applies to
FIG. 02 · One rule, composed: the sites it allows, the groups it reuses, and the person it applies to.
Content-filtering categories such as security, adult and illegal, toggled per profile
FIG. 03 · Content filtering: security, adult and illegal categories, allowed or blocked per profile.
03 · HOW I WORK

Map it, build it, prove it.

Map before I build
I map every state a feature can be in, valid and invalid, saved and discarded, before writing it, so the edge cases are decisions, not surprises.
Root cause, not symptom
I chase the real cause. A screen that froze for minutes turned out to be server exhaustion; several separate failures shared one flaw and were fixed once.
Prove it, don't assert it
Reproducible test setups, input harnesses, end-to-end tests, and before-and-after screenshots. I show a fix works, I don't just claim it.
Every change is reversible
Work ships as small, tagged, documented releases, so any change can be traced and rolled back cleanly.
A decision-tree mind map of every state of the connection feature, planned before building
FIG. 04 · Planning a feature's every state before building it, valid and invalid, saved and discarded.
